Lia Rodda

Soft Tissue Therapist | Sports & Movement Specialist

Bio

Lia is a qualified Sports Therapist with a lifelong passion for movement, rehabilitation and understanding how the body works.

Her interest in movement began through dance, training from a young age across a range of disciplines including contemporary, ballet, jazz, lyrical and street dance. This eventually led Lia to combine her understanding of movement with her interest in anatomy, injury and rehabilitation, graduating from Buckinghamshire New University with a BSc (Hons) in Sports Therapy.

Since qualifying, Lia has worked with a wide variety of clients, from people struggling with everyday aches and pains to athletes returning from injury. Her experience includes working with private clients, football academies, youth organisations, corporate wellbeing programmes and individuals returning to sport and exercise.

Lia’s approach combines hands-on soft tissue therapy with movement, mobility and rehabilitation, tailoring each session to the individual rather than following a one-size-fits-all treatment.

Her additional training includes myofascial dry cupping, foam rolling, personal training, kettlebell instruction and seated massage, giving her a broad range of techniques that can be incorporated into treatment where appropriate.

Now based back in her hometown of Swansea, Lia combines her clinical work with teaching movement, mobility, stretching and fitness sessions.

At Swansea Chiropractic Clinic, Lia works alongside our chiropractic and rehabilitation team, providing soft tissue therapy to help patients reduce muscular tension, improve mobility, recover from injury and get back to doing the things they enjoy.
