Why Joints Ache
Joints can become uncomfortable for many reasons, including general wear over the years, previous injuries, repetitive strain, reduced movement and the way load is distributed through the body. When one joint is not working well, others often compensate, which can spread discomfort to new areas. Establishing why a particular joint is troubling you is central to treating it effectively.

How We Treat Joint Aches & Pains
Our Chiropractic Care is not limited to the spine. By applying precise, controlled techniques to a restricted joint, we can help improve its movement and reduce discomfort. Soft tissue therapy complements this by relaxing the muscles around the joint, and we provide exercises to strengthen and support the area for the longer term.
For aches in the lower limbs, the feet may be playing a part. In these cases a FootScan analysis and, where appropriate, custom orthotics can improve alignment and relieve the strain travelling up through the knees and hips.

What to Expect on Your First Visit
Your appointment starts with a detailed discussion of your symptoms, followed by a careful examination of the affected joint and the areas around it. We then explain what we have found and recommend a personalised plan. If we believe your joint pain needs assessment beyond our scope, we will be honest and advise you accordingly.
