Treatments

At Swansea Chiropractic Clinic, we believe in a comprehensive approach to your musculoskeletal health. Our range of treatment options allows us to tailor care specifically to your needs, combining traditional chiropractic techniques with complementary therapies. This holistic strategy ensures we address not just your symptoms, but the root causes of your discomfort. Read on to learn about the various techniques we employ to help you achieve optimal health and wellbeing.

Chiropractic Adjustment

This simply allows chiropractors to adjust various joints throughout the body, whether it's the spine or somewhere else. Your chiropractor's hands are used to apply pressure to the affected area, and in a spinal adjustment this is often accompanied by a 'pop' or 'crack'. This is the result of gasses moving within the joints and is nothing to worry about.

Massage

There are many different types of soft tissue within your body: muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia, can all cause problems or become irritated due to other problems within your body. Sometimes, massage is necessary to alleviate 'tightness' or other problems in those areas. It's not necessary in every case, but is sometimes an option.

Acupuncture

A great complement to chiropractic, acupuncture, or 'dry-needling' can help alleviate pain and dysfunction. Acupuncture can be used to treat a huge variety of conditions and works by stimulating the nervous system in order to promote healing, and although not used in every case it can have some real benefits when combined with manual adjustments.

Kinesio Taping

Typically, though not exclusively used to help with sports injuries, tape is applied to the affected area. This can have numerous effects, including helping the healing process through support as well as improved lymphatic drainage and joint alignment by affecting the muscles and fascia. The tape can also help to reduce poor joint function in some cases.
